Secret Life of Dolphins (March 9)
Join us Tuesday 9th March to hear about this fascinating research and learn how you too can become personally involved in the project.
With the help of Earthwatch volunteers, Susana Caballero, from the University of Auckland, and her team of research scientists are seeking to uncover the secrets of both the bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) and one of the least known cetaceans, the little tucuxi dolphin (Sotalia fluviatilis).
This research aims to explore the impact of human activity on dolphin populations, examine the dolphins' use of the refuge and understand the unique socio-sexual interactions between these two species.
