Aquaculture in Australia
A major unit examing the farming of marine species around Australia. Aquaculture is the fastest growing primary industry in Australia.This unit contains general information about mariculture (marine aquaculture) in Australia and information relevant to each state and the Northern Territory.

Cnidaria
A major unit covering the ecology, anatomy, reproduction and more of Cnidaria including sea anemones, corals, sea pens, Box jellies, Jellyfish, Hydra, siphonophores, Hydrozoa,. Includes a Photogallery and videos from YouTube.

Coasts and Marine Schools Project
This is a comprehensive Professional Development program for the development of skills and strategies for including marine education programs in school curricula.

The 15 modules and the supportive materials including Black Line OHT Masters and a Field Activities Guide are designed to promote inclusion of coastal and marine content in school programs from Kindergarten to Year 12 and incorporates currently available teaching materials and resources.

Conference proceedings
From the 1998 National MESA Conference - "Seaweeds, Syngnathids and Seashores - Marine Conservation through Education".

Conference presenters provided examples of "best practice programs in community and schools marine education" from throughout Australia.

Marine & Fisheries Education Kit
The Fisheries Group of BIRD (Department of Business, Industry and Resource Development, Northern Territory) have produced an educational package for primary students focusing on the marine environment. The kit was developed by former MESA NT Rep Rebecca Solah.

The aim of this kit is to increase students understanding of marine habitats and the responsibility that everyone shares in ensuring that it remains in good health.

Protocols for teachers undertaking Marine Investigations
This is a draft set of protocols for teachers undertaking marine investigations. It was developed by Ingrid Albion from the Marine Discovery Centre, Woodbridge, Tasmania.

Sections include: Using the seashore as a classroom, rules regarding viewing/touching sea creatures, collecting sea life for the classroom and more. Although it was designed for Tasmania it should be of use to all marine teachers.

Putting a Toe in the Water: A Teachers' Guide to Getting Started with Coastal and Marine Studies in Tasmania
This forty page book (released June 2002) contains practical activities, ideas and worksheets for teachers interested in integrating coastal and marine studies into their teaching. Whilst developed for Tasmanian teachers, much of it would be useful to Marine Educators throughout Australia.

Vic Marine Ed Resource Guide
This resource guide was produced in 2000 by Cheryl Linford for the COMETS Project. It lists resources by 17 categories. Whilst developed for Victorian teachers, much of it would be useful to Marine Educators throughout Australia.
