Marine Seminar - Geographe Bay: A Living Wonderland

Come along and explore the biodiversity of Geographe Bay and what makes this area so special. This event is targeted at people who are keen to know more about what lives in the bay and receive an update on the latest cutting-edge research being conducted. Educators, students, fishers, business operators and anyone with an interest in the marine environment will find the seminars valuable to their appreciation and understanding of where they live, visit and recreate.

OzProject Sea Week 2008 (25th February - 11th April 2008)

This online project provides several opportunities for students to learn about the sea by sharing their knowledge and experiences and collaborating with others. It has been created for students in the Middle Primary years but may be adapted for younger or older students.

YOUR ADVENTURE BEGINS…
Seaweek Educators Expo is a fantastic learning and professional development opportunity; you can network with like-minded educators, meet knowledgeable marine and coastal educators and find out the latest in marine education in Western Australia.

WHAT’S INVOLVED?
· The main Expo venue is the Naturaliste Marine Discovery Centre and Marine Research Laboratories, Hillarys Boat Harbour.
· Explore the theme “Extinction – a Saw point”
· Choose one of our five morning marine adventure workshops – including new activities.
· Choose two of our four concurrent workshops in the afternoon – including new activities.
· Network with expert marine and environmental education providers and like-minded people.
· Enjoy lunch, morning and afternoon tea in great surroundings!
· Receive resources you can utilise back in the classroom.
